Let's share some music!

Talking about sharing..
Have you ever heard about Creative Commons licenses?

Recently I started to study this kind of licenses that, quoting the website, "help you share your knowledge and creativity with the world" As far as I know, it helps protecting creative works, ideas, music from plagiarism, misappropriation, commercial use without permission and so on.

Going on and on looking for information I found that there are a lot of artists worldwide who share safely their excellent creativity thanks to Creative Commons and I think it's a great way to do it!!!

I have even discovered a Web Radio that broadcasts Creative Commons music 24 hours a day, totaly for the pleasure to share. I am talking about Aikiradio, a surprisingly positive oasis in the ocean of the pay-per-listen. I listened to it all day long and I had the precious chance to listen to international, but unfortunately unknown wonderful music.
I already have new favourite bands!!!!!! :)

Sharing is a gift.
Thank you, Aikiradio.

Attempt no. 1 : my neighbour

It's about ten months I am living in this building in Dublin. It's a nice place and sometimes I meet my neighbour when I take the lift, check my mailbox. But it's all. The usual "Hi, how are you", "Thanks", "Sorry". Nothing more, I don't even know a name. It's not good but.. where could I start from?

So yesterday afternoon I prepared this:

Then, late at night like a ninja, I went at the ground floor, at the bulletin board  just beside the main entrance and I hanged it there.
If just one person will smile reading my announce, I thought, it would be a success.

*

The morning after, when I went downstairs I felt so surprised and happy finding this:

And this at 7pm, before going out with some friends:

I was completely amazed. A big success, more than expected!
I still feel so glad I have such great neighbour, and I feel more close to them now.

However, I received the biggest gift ever when I came back home around midnight. Turning my key to open the main gate I found two messages waiting for me:

I don't know who wrote these messages, but thank you so much. Thank you. <3

A blog like this... why?

This blog was born from the idea I had speaking with some friends while we were eating a gorgeous piece of cake (and I seize this opportunity to tell an ancestral truth: all best ideas come from eating cakes!!!! ^_^). Anyway, we were there, our mouths full of a delicious chocolate cream and some of them were complaining about job, boyfriends, parents, life in general. I heard comments like "People is so rude sometimes" or "I would like him not just focus on himself".  So, since I feel we have at least to try to find a solution when we have a problem, I asked smiling (a diabolic angel I would say..) : "What are you doing to solve the situation? What are you doing to understand people around you?".
The air litterally freezed.
"Me? What could I do?" - one of them replied.
"There is nothing I can do to change them" - the other said.

(..I am going to avoid describing my eyes launching fires and flames for this time.. )

Well.. this to say that a couple of hours later, once I felt myself more quiet, I took this opportunity to stop and reflect: "what do I do to understand people I share my life with?",  and above all: "What can I do to create a connection with people I meet everyday?

If it's true that a nice gesture produce a positive reaction (this video will explain it more than one thousand words: boomerang effect ), why shouldn't I make an attempt?

That's the idea: do something just for the pleasure to see somebody else smiling. Nothing acrobatic or expensive. Nothing elaborate. Just a tiny, simple act to say "I care".

So I started.. and results have been amazing so far, after just one day!!!

Stay tuned!!!
