Goooood morning! ^_^ : No rain

Good morning all!! ^_^

It's a beautiful day, isn't it?
Here in Dublin sky is blue, it's cold, yes, but there is a lovely sun waiting for me to go outside.

It was a great weekend..it was grand!!!!  I spent it with my elder brother (he doesn't live here in Ireland) and I miss him everyday.

By the way, he reminded my a song that we used to listen to and sing together when I was around 11. This souvenir makes me smile and be happy.. I want to share it with you.

Have a lovely day!

Goooood morning! ^_^ : I can..

Goooood morning people!! ^_^

How are you today?
Hope you like this new column!!

This morning I would like to share with you this nice draw I found online:

Isn't it cute???
It's true that we don't have always the will to smile, and for sure we cannot force it.
BUT it's nevertheless true that when somebody smiles at us life is happier and easier! ^_^

Have a lovely day!

Goooood morning! ^_^ : Haiku

This morning I would like to share with you this Haiku by Kobayashi Nobuyuki, knows under the name Issa.

雪とけて
村一ぱいの
子ども哉

yuki tokete

mura ippai no
kodomo kana
Translated in English sounds like:

snow melting
the village brimming over...
with children!

(translation by David Lanoue , http://haikuguy.com)

I found it very inspiring today. Can you imagine it?
A small village, all white, covered by snow that slowly blankets everything.  You are alone, watching outside from your window. You have just woken up, still in your pyjamas, still rubbing your eyes with your left hand. Feeling sad, maybe you won't be able to go outside, start your day as scheduled.
But suddenly - last row- a splash of colour, then two, three, four, painting the white quilt.
Sound of laugh. Cries of joy.
Children playing all around.

Have a lovely day! ^_^

Morning inspiration

It was 1982 when a little 11-year-old redheaded orphan girl started singing "you are never fully dressed without a smile".
I'm talking about the Broadway musical "Annie",  based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie , with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin and the book by Thomas Meehan.

Anyway, this morning, I found on Facebook a picture that I would like to share with you all:

Hope you will like it!!

I wish you a lovely day! ^_^

Attempt no. 2 : my neighbour (part 2)

Happiness only real when shared” is a sentence written by Christopher McCandless, before passing away in the Alaskan wilderness in April 1992 (have you seen the movie "Into the wild" directed by Sean Penn? that story..).

Happiness only real when shared” ... is it true? what do you think about it?

I have thought about it for a long time. I believe that we can find happiness into ourselves. However, yes, I think that our happiness is more real and "tasty" if shared.

For this reason this below has been my second attempt:

Yesss!! It's me in the photo together with one of my best friends!!

So.. next step, as for attempt no.1, has been to hang it on the bulletin board of the building I live in, and wait for my neighbour reaction.

To be honest, it hasn't been as successful as the first attempt. I think it is because it was too similar, no surprise effect no more. However, after 2-3 days, all smiles were taken, and I am still very happy about it!!

Thinking about something different next time. I hang in there, you bet! ^_^

I am getting things ready for "attempt no.2". Really hope you will like it.

In the meantime, I would like to show you a picture I found surfing the net. I am sorry, I could not find the source, if anyone knows please let me know and I will be glad to add all related information. ^_^

I wish you all a lovely day and enjoy the pic! Byeeee

Attempt no. 1 : my neighbour

It's about ten months I am living in this building in Dublin. It's a nice place and sometimes I meet my neighbour when I take the lift, check my mailbox. But it's all. The usual "Hi, how are you", "Thanks", "Sorry". Nothing more, I don't even know a name. It's not good but.. where could I start from?

So yesterday afternoon I prepared this:

Then, late at night like a ninja, I went at the ground floor, at the bulletin board  just beside the main entrance and I hanged it there.
If just one person will smile reading my announce, I thought, it would be a success.

*

The morning after, when I went downstairs I felt so surprised and happy finding this:

And this at 7pm, before going out with some friends:

I was completely amazed. A big success, more than expected!
I still feel so glad I have such great neighbour, and I feel more close to them now.

*

However, I received the biggest gift ever when I came back home around midnight. Turning my key to open the main gate I found two messages waiting for me:

I don't know who wrote these messages, but thank you so much. Thank you. <3
